Acute migraine therapy in the emergency room
Migraine is common in adult as well as pediatric population. In our countries a neurologist is often called to the emergency room for differential diagnosis of headache and its therapy management in contrast with western countries, where acute management of migraine is the premise of the emergency specialist. Local standard treatment protocols rarely exist. The current article reviews data on treatment of acute headache patients in the acute care setting.
