Highly malignant cutaneous angiosarcoma of the head, face and neck

Primary cutaneous angiosarcoma is a rare, highly malignant metastatic disease affecting the head, face and neck. The most common occurrence is recorded in adult and elderly patients. In presented cases they are of two patients with histologically verified primary cutaneous angiosarcoma that developed without a clear prior risk factor. The aim of the case reports is to point out the severity of the disease, which in the beginning can be manifested only by very non-specific manifestations reminiscent of other, sometimes less serious disease. Therefore, one of the main steps to make a diagnosis is a skin biopsy followed by histopathological and immunohistochemical examination.
