Efficacy and safety of the XeraCalm AD emollient range in the treatment of atopic dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis is a multifactorial disease that is caused by an abnormal immune response occuring in genetically predisposed patients. It is associated with skin barrier abnormalities. I-modulia, the key active ingredient in the XeraCalm AD emollient range, is a biotechnological active ingredient that comes from a specific microorganism in Avéne Thermal Spring Water. The twice daily application of Xeracalm AD products on children and adults with mild to moderate atopic dermatitis leads to a rapid and significant decrease in the severity of atopic dermatitis.
