Solar allergy – photodermatosis
Some of the most common types of sun allergies are skin diseases initiated by solar UV radiation. Sun allergies include: solar urticaria, solar dermatitis, phototoxic and photoallergic diseases. Phototoxic reactions account for 95 % of all cases of photosensitivity. Phototoxic and photoallergic reactions occur as a result of substance locally applied to the skin, or globally used drugs, and various plant extracts.
