The risk of HPV infections in heterosexual couples

HPV infections (Human Papilloma Viruses) are considered one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. Infection of HPV can spread also with different ways. The prevalence of anogenital HPV infections is relatively high and revealed increasing trend in both sexes. Homosexuals and immunossupressed people are at risk of HPV infection. Heterosexual partners can be also infected. The following article provides an overview of available information on the behavior of HPV among heterosexuals, about transmission, distribution and incidence of HPV types among heterosexual couple.
