Mykózy hlavy a tváre
Fungal infection of the scalp and face is caused by dermatophyte of the genera Trichophyton and Microsporum. It occurs in all age groups, but predominately children from 3 to 10 years, occasionally adults are affected. The disease has a wide range of clinical presentation from patches of alopecia, alopecia with scales and black dots to marked inflammatory changes seen in kerion. The aim of treatment is to provide a quick clinical and mycological cure, with minimal adverse effects and spread of infection.
