Mycobacteriosis caused by non-tuberculous mycobacteria – knowledge for clinical practise

The author analyzes the current knowledge about mycobacteriosis. These are diseases that are caused by non-tuberculous mycobacteria. Clinical manifestations of infections caused by conditionally pathogenic mycobacteria may have the character of a pulmonary disseminating disease or localized form. The process is usually chronic, often fluctuating temperatures, with night sweats and weakness, coughing, general weakness. Radiological findings in lung expression do not reveal any significant differences in the nature of the lesions compared to those caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis
