Myelodysplastic syndrome and skin changes – case report

Myelodysplastic syndrome is a heterogeneous group of conditions, which are characterized by the discrepancy between ample haematopoiesis and and peripheral pancytopenia as a consequence of ineffective haematopoiesis with clinical manifestations of anaemia, infection, bleeding into mucous membranes and skin changes. There is a possibility of the disease transformation into acute leukaemia.
