Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a light, fairly simple, painless procedure, broadly used in dermatology. Practically, it is a non-invasive dermato- -cosmetic treatment, kind of mechanical peeling, that uses a mechanical medium for exfoliation to gently removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells from epidermis. Microdermabrasion is the most often performed to help diminish the appearance of superficial hyperpigmentation and signs of skin‘s photo-damage, as well as dimished fine lines, wrinkles, acne and shallow acne scars. Disruption of the skin surface initiates a repair process that restores barrier function and induces the new collagen and elastin fibres synthesis in dermis. The skin after treatment is smooth, elastic and compact. Microdermabrasion is currently becoming one of the most popular dermato-cosmetic procedures.
