Background: Carotenoderma is a yellow discoloration of the skin due to increased concentrations of carotenoids in the serum – carotenemia. It is usually a benign condition caused by an excessive intake of carotenoids in the diet, rarely it can be associated with other more serious metabolic diseases. Background: Authors present the case of a 27-year-old female patient with a 3-year history of persistent yellow discoloration of the palms and soles. The patient was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder, she suffered from amenorrhea, weight loss and increased fatigue for about 2 years. Laboratory parameters were normal. Based on the history - long-term increased intake of food with a high content of carotenoids and a typical clinical presentation, it was established a diagnosis - carotenoderma. Conclusion: The diagnosis of carotenoderma is not frequent, but it is important not to forget about it.
