Cannabinoids – history, legalization and what next?

In our conditions, hemp (Cannabis sativa) is known primarily as a source of solid fibers. Its variety (Cannabis sativa v. indica) from Asia was also used in medicine. The active substance is δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Substances with a similar effect, so-called cannabinoids, have received significant attention in recent years due to the process of their legalization and their therapeutic potential in various diseases, including skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, acne and others. Clinical efficacy and full elucidation of the underlying molecular mechanisms have yet to be supplemented and identified by further clinical studies.
