BIOLOGICALS IN THE TREATMENT OF SEVERE FORMS OF PSORIASIS
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disorder with strong negative impact on quality of life. The goal of the therapeutic methods is reduction of disease activity and clinical symptoms together with minimising of adverse events. The need for therapies that are both effective and safe for long-term continuous use, together with advances in our understanding of the immunopathogenesis of psoriasis, have led to the development of new biological therapies with more selective mechanisms of action and improved safety.
