Premedication and postoperative effects
Concept of premedication supposess correcting the adverse effects of drugs and anesthesiological technichs or surgical intervention. In addition to relieve anxiety before a anesthesia and surgery, today puts emphasis on the “post-operative effect” that affects postoperative pain, nausea and vomiting after surgery, postoperative headache, correction postoperative shivering and itching. There are still many people whose quality of recovery from anesthesia is not good, many are not treated accordingly. Although there are standards for the management of post-operative pain and post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) are still looking for answers as preemptive affect some complications of anesthesia (postanesthetic shivering, itching).
