Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults (MIS-A) associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection – case report
Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults (MIS-A) associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection occurs in adult patients approximately 2-6 weeks after overcome Covid-19 disease. In contrast with children, the course of Covid-19 disease is symptomatic. MIS-A is manifested by fever, severe cardiac illness, rash and non-purulent conjunctivitis, shock, nech pain, cervical lymphadenopathy, gastrointestinal symptoms, neurologic sign and symptoms. In laboratory investigations are increased inflammatory parameters. MIS-A requires intensive treatment, in most cases vasomimetic support of circulation. In treatment human immunoglobulins, corticoids, IL1 inhibitors, acetylsalycylic acid are used. If the syndrom is early recognized and the imunoglobulins are given soon, then the overcome is usually successful
