Morbidly obese patient on the intensive care unit

Obesity is considered to be the world most frequent civilization disease of the 21st century according to WHO. Despite considered as pandemic disorder of modern society it affects increasing number of subjects within developing countries as well. It is defined as a chronic disease leading to multi-organ damage and severe related complications with relevant impact upon morbidity and quality of life and total length of life for obese patients.
