CVVH – part of biventricular heart failure therapy
The potentially most severe clinical signs of acute cardiac decompensation are typically manifested by fluid retention followed by volume overload. This particular paper elaborates the pathophysiological aspect of venous congestion development, cardio-renal syndrome, diuretics resistance and the actual application of continuous elimination methods for acute cardiac decompensation. Further provided case report describes successful application of CVVH at our clinic for fluid mobilization on subject with biventricular cardiac and renal failure.
