TREATMENT OF HERPES ZOSTER INFECTION IN IMMUNOCOMPROMISED PATIENTS

Infections caused by varicella – herpes zoster virus are relatively common in immunocmpromised patients. Clinical manifestation of the disease is similar to that of average population with some exceptions. The rate of complications is also higher. Prophylactic and therapeutic steps are able to reduce the risk of complications and influence the successfull outcome.
