CLAUDICATIO INTERMITTENS – POSSIBILITIES OF TREATMENT IN AMBULATORY PRACTICE
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) of extremities is an important manifestation of systemic atherosclerosis. Claudicatio intermittens is the second stage of PAD. In this stage of the disease mainly conservative treatment is used (modification of risk factors of atherosclerosis, antiplatelet drugs, regular physical activity, vasoactive pharmacological treatment). Therapy of claudicatio intermittens is discussed in this article.
